Here’s a controversial question that needs to be asked: Is it a sin for Christians to vote for the Democrat Party in its current form? I have an answer, but let me present my reasoning before declaring an opinion.
First , I don’t ask this question to be provocative or to point fingers in judgement.My brothers and sisters in Christ, this a query is made in love, not in condemnation. Believe it or not, this observation is also apolitical.
Of course, the Bible does not address voting specifically. It does so in a roundabout way (Deut. 1:13). However, scripture tells us, in unequivocal terms, what is sin. With that disclaimer, here we go.
Based on the biblical definitions of sin; which, by the way, are capital offenses to the Lord worthy of eternal punishment, there is no way to view the Democrat Party other than wicked.
Please don’t confuse my use of the word wicked with the musical or the soon to be released movie. No, the wicked we’re discussing here means morally very bad or evil.
For example, name the Democrats’ signature policy they defend with religious and fanatical zeal. If you guessed abortion, congratulations for paying attention.
What is it about abortion that has caused party leaders like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to threaten Supreme Court Justices that they “unleashed a whirlwind” for striking down Roe v Wade? Why do defenders of abortion vilify anyone who opposes the practice as an extremist?
From their rhetoric, it seems they’ve convinced themselves abortion is a sacred and fundamental right, more important than even free speech. And apparently , the party marches in lockstep when it comes to this signature policy.
Just ask yourself, when is the last time you heard a prominent Democrat break ranks and consistently denounce abortion? Yeah, that’s right; never.
They seem to have no guilt, no qualms about the sanctity of abortion. I believe it’s as the Bible puts it, their “consciences have been seared with a hot iron ( 1 Tim. 4:2)”
In other words, the party is wicked.
Why else would Democrats care little about the genital mutilation of children involved in this so-called medical procedure of gender reassignment surgery? They’re more concerned with cultivating a voting bloc rather than caring about the long-term spiritual , emotional and physical well being of children.
Democrats, please heed this warning. Scripture tells us God especially hates those who hurt children.
“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.–Matt. 18-6 (NIV)
A millstone in the time of Christ weighed about 3000 pounds . So just imagine having one tied to someone’s neck and throwing it into the sea. We’re talking a rapid descent to the ocean floor, with death in a horrific manner,and Jesus said this would be better for them than facing God’s wrath?
Truly scary stuff with a frightening visual. Anyone reading this passage gets the message right away that children are precious to God and that anyone taking advantage of their trust and naïveté will face a terrible punishment from our LORD.
So based on Jesus’ vivid warning, shouldn’t Christians be wary of complicity with evil, by voting for a party that has no inherent desire to protect children, but instead, exploit them?
What is the Democrat Party for? It would seem its party leaders are dedicated only to their own power and affluence, no matter the cost to the country or tragically, to their souls
Based on their policies, Democrats are not only anti-children, they are also anti-God, anti-Christianity, anti-Constitution, anti- family, anti-masculinity, anti-femininity, anti-America, anti-flag, anti-liberty, anti-gun, anti-law, anti-law enforcement, anti-prosperity, anti-truth, anti-beauty, and anti-logic. One could strongly argue this is a party of psychopathic narcissists, who believe themselves above the laws–both temporal and eternal– we, the people, are subject to.
Should a Christian vote for a political party that not only has these values, but proudly parades them? Is it a sin to vote for the Democrat Party in its current form? I say, in boldness and certainty, yes.
