Unpacking Liberation Day

What have we witnessed in the past six days? All we’ve heard is epic fear mongering by the left , some on the right, and the media over President Donald Trump’s announcement of reciprocal tariffs. Let’s spend some time unpacking Liberation Day.

Hopefully you have marked April 2 as Liberation Day in your calendars, because history will record President Trump’s policy as a generational transformation. Believe it!

“But Dex, the stock market is falling, consumers will be paying higher prices and the world will hate us! ” Yes these things are happening, but only in the short term. It won’t be forever as the left is trying to make it.

How come the pearl-clutchers on the left, the media, and some on the right aren’t asking if tariffs are so bad, why do other world economies benefit from them? Why are tariffs only bad for America? Prior to the 16th Amendment, which made income tax law in 1913, America funded itself primarily by tariffs, public land sales, custom duties and excise taxes.

Countries like Japan, India, Vietnam and Canada have booming economies due to asymmetrical tariff policies on USA products. Canada has slapped as much as 200 percent tariffs on American goods.

America has had this uneven trade policy in place for over 80 years with the advent of the Marshal Plan at the end of World War 2. In fact, the last time America had a trade surplus was over 50 years ago. That’s the 1970’s.

So Trump announces we’re not gonna take it anymore, reveals his Executive Order of reciprocal tariffs to begin the restoration of fair trade and all hell breaks loose. The Wall Street Journal lambasts him, the mockingbird media distorts , Democrats demonize and even Republicans like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz condemn the policy.

Typical. Democrats gonna hate, media gonna lie and certain Republicans gonna bail. That’s Washington baby!

However there’s an obvious detail all the usual suspects tend to gloss over: the word reciprocal. Trump’s policy is reciprocal tariffs, not punitive. Reciprocal means the tariff amounts America places on other countries are based on their actions.

In other words, any increase in tariffs, America will respond in kind. The same goes for any decrease in tariffs as well . Funny how the legacy press ignores that part of reciprocity.

Say, for instance, Canada or the EU reduces its tariffs to 0 , we would respond the same way. with 0 tariffs. Yes, if all these global leaders responded with reductions, Trump would do the same. Instead ,all we’re getting from world leaders is foot stomping tantrums promising Americans will feel the pain.

Why do these leaders bloviate with such punitive rhetoric instead of simply reducing their tariffs? It’s all about the money. The globalists are pissed off because they fear their people finding out their economies are sustained by the tariffs on American goods. Reduce those amounts and you kill the gravy train they’re accustomed to.

But it’s even bigger than that. President Trump is upending the parasitical global economic construct that has grown wealthy on the backs of hard-working Americans.Trump is liberating America from this one-way construct that’s screwed us while enriching every other nation.

And speaking of liberation, it requires will. Whether that liberation is throwing off the chains of tyranny, slavery or even an abusive relationship, there must be the resolve to never return to the way things were, no matter the difficulties. Pain usually follows for the short term, but the long term freedoms make the temporary hardships worth it.

Trump cautions Americans prices will go up initially, but from this will come an economic boom. The expert economists attack Trump’s plan, but what is their alternative to benefit Americans? And what is the Democrat plan? Senator Cory Booker ranted and raved about Trump for 24 hours, and said nothing about his party’s plan to fix our 30 trillion dollar deficit or to bring jobs back.

Sen. Cory Booker, D-New Jersey

First Trump unleashed DOGE and Elon Musk to expose the fraud nd wasteful spending of our federal bureaucracy, and now Americans are learning of a multi-decade trade deficit. Americans’ eyes are no longer closed to how we’ve reached our current economic state. Democrat minions may be vandalizing Tesla Dealerships but the distraction isn’t working.

Every president since Reagan chose to kick the can down the road while telling us “Nahh… it’ll be fine.” Every president except Trump, that is. He’s a brilliant businessman stepping up and doing the heavy lifting because he loves this country. The least we can do is trust him. After all, he took a bullet for us.

Democrat kryptonite

DOGE has become Democrat. kryptonite. The agency is literally showing all Dem power and influence is illusory.

In Superman lore, kryptonite are fragments of Superman’s home world, Krypton. These irradiated pieces of the planet can weaken and even kill the Man of Steel.

Now please don’t think for a minute I am equating the Dems with Superman. While he stands for truth, justice and the American way, the Dems and Deep State are the complete opposite.

The fraud and waste Elon Musk and company are illuminating with DOGE is weakening the Democrat Party and the Deep State. Most taxpaying Americans are righteously angry at such United States Agency for International Development (USAID) expenditures as $47 thousand for a transgender opera in Columbia, over $5 million for gay rights in Uganda, or $17 million for “inclusion” in Vietnam.

Elon Musk presenting chainsaw given to him by Argentinian President Javier Milei

Some are speculating we are witnessing the exposure of an elaborate money-laundering system through DOGE’s initial audit of USAID. Democrats aren’t the least bit pissed off about this defrauding of the US taxpayer. Nahh… they’re instead raging at Elon for his revelations.

Senator Corey Booker defending USAID

You know what DOGE is presenting for everyone to see? Nothing is genuine or organic about Democrat power. The party manufactures, gaslights, and pays for everything.

For instance, DOGE exposed USAID giving millions of dollars to over 600 journalists and over 700 news outlets throughout the world.

Take a look at some of these findings.

The New York Times :

–$50 million from various government sources. Nearly $30 million from Health and Human Services.

Politico

–Over $34 million dollars from various government agencies. Guess who also broke the story of the 51 intelligence operatives claiming the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation? That’s right , the Politico.

Associated Press

— Nearly $20 million in government contracts, over $600 thousand in Deparment of State grants, with funding spikes in 2020 and 2024

REUTERS:

–$9 million from the Department of Defense for “Active Social Engineering Defense and Large Scale Social Deception” ?

$220,000 from the Department of State just last year.

BBC:

— British Broadcasting Corporation not only got $3 million from American taxpayers , Bill Gates also donated $20 million. Yeah, that Bill Gates.

It’s no surprise why media repeats the same narratives from the same angles worldwide.

And since USAID was first in DOGE’s crosshairs, now the Dems are in full-blown meltdown. Trump Derangement Syndrome or is it now Musk Madness , has them so discombobulated, they don’t realize how out of touch they appear to the American public.

What has been done in secret since is no longer hidden from the American people. It reminds me of Luke 8:17:

“For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.”(NKJV)

Everything about the left is bought and paid for according to these revelations. President Trump’s got the receipts for US taxpayers. Just think, we’re only nearing six weeks of this administration. Can you imagine what voters will learn in the next six months?

Btw, the Democrat kryptonite isn’t DOGE, it’s truth. Like the green rock to Superman, Democrats hate the truth because they wither under its power.

Moving Toward a Reckoning

“It’s not revenge he’s after. It’s a reckoning.” Doc Holidayfrom the movie Tombstone (1993)

President Donald Trump is not seeking revenge on Democrats, RINO’s and the Deep State, he’s moving toward a reckoning.  Believe it.

Merriam Webster Dictionary describes a day of reckoning as:

a time when the consequences of a course of mistakes or misdeeds are felt

Democrats sense that day is coming. Look at their panic over the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) audit findings of fraud and waste in departments such as USAID and FEMA.

Musk recently mentioned in an Oval Office press conference, a cursory DOGE examination of the Social Security Administration revealing payments going to 150-year-old recipients. Watch the left go Defcon 1 level bananas when that full audit is launched.

Meanwhile, note Obama-appointed federal judges countermanding Trump’s Executive Orders.  Can we say, bad optics?

First, the Dems look like raving fools defending government waste instead of siding with taxpayers. Second, as Vice President JD Vance rightly tweeted , judges are trying to control the president. In his tweet, Vance also cited Harvard Law Professor Adrian Vermeule who says:

“Judicial interference with legitimate acts of state, especially the internal functioning of a co-equal branch, is a violation of the separation of powers.”

Senator Tom Cotton succinctly echoed this outrage in another tweet:

Outrageous. Obama Judge Paul Engelmayer didn’t just bar Elon Musk and DOGE from Treasury systems, he barred the Secretary of the Treasury himself. Without citing a single law or even allowing Trump admin to appear in court! This outlaw should be reversed immediately and Engelmayer should be forbidden by higher courts from ever hearing another case against the Trump admin.

Put simply, judges are to interpret the law, not micromanage the executive actions of a President. In the same way, a president cannot dictate how a judge is to interpret the law.

“But, but… Elon Musk and DOGE are causing a Constitutional crisis!” the Dems shriek. “Musk and his hackers, led by ‘Big Balls’, are a threat to the people’s private information!”

Ok, but riddle me this? When is the last time you heard the Dems expressing such righteous concern over people’s data? Remember all those Congressional hearings the Dems called for every time a major data breach occurred? Oh, that’s right, there weren’t any.

Dems are using, against Elon, the Saul Alinsky tactic of picking a target, freezing it, personalizing it  and polarizing it. Media echo chamber aside, it’s not working.

Despite the media’s efforts to demonize Trump, voters gave him both the electoral college and popular vote in his landslide .

Elon backed Trump after the Butler Pennsylvania assassination attempt.  A prominent fixture at Trump rallies, voters enthusiastically welcomed Musk’s support.

Therefore, Dems, a majority elected Trump. By default, they also support the talented individuals– like Elon, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, Kash Patel, etc.– Trump wants to carry out his policies and to keep his promises to the people.

But you wouldn’t know about putting the people first.  Your loyalties are to a corrupt system that fleeces the taxpayer, while enriching yourselves.

Unfortunately, that corrupt system also extends to activist federal judges blocking the people’s efforts of upending the status quo of fraud and graft. This corruption is what’s really unconstitutional, not DOGE informing the people of government fraud and waste.

Trump could rightly ignore the federal rulings and may do so. He could also use the bully pulpit to suggest Congress impeach these judges.  That’s a possibility. However, it appears Trump wants the Supreme Court to decide this.

On paper, the appeal looks like a constitutional slam dunk for SCOTUS where this issue of jurisdiction could be decided once and for all.  Everyone’s got a pretty good idea where the libs on the court will fall on the matter. The wild card is Chief Justice John Roberts, and to a lesser degree, Justice Amy Coney Barrett. But, we’ll see.

Meanwhile, Trump’s m.o. is to work within the rule of law instead of subverting it as the Democrats do. Will the law come in the form of a SCOTUS slap down, Congressional impeachment and conviction in the Senate, or will Trump simply ignore the rulings?

Either way, Trump’s got the law as his weapon of reckoning, and that’s what’s scaring the hell out of Democrats.

Democrats are unraveling over USAID revelations

To say that Democrats are unraveling over USAID revelations in a headline is an understatement. They’re outraged, not at the waste of taxpayer funds revealed by Department of Government Efficiency, but at DOGE for exposing it.

From left to right, Rep. Al Green (TX), Rep. Maxine Waters (CA) and Sen. Chuck Schumer(NY) fanning the hate for DOGE and Elon Musk (Courtesy Getty Images)

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared a list of some of United States Agency for International Development budget expenditures at a recent press briefing.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt describes the waste of USAID

$2 million

for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala.

$6 million

to fund tourism in Egypt.

Spent

$20 million on “Ahlan Simsim” — a new Sesame Street show in Iraq.

Over $4.5 million

to “combat disinformation” in Kazakhstan.

Up to $10 million

worth of USAID-funded meals went to al Qaeda-linked terrorist group the Nusra Front.

$500,000

to group that “empowers women” in an attempt to solve sectarian violence in Israel just 10 days before Hamas’s Oct. 7 attacks. Awarded

nearly $25 million

to Deloitte to promote green transportation in Georgia (the country).

$4.67 million

to EcoHealth Alliance, one of the key nongovernmental organizations funding bat virus research at Wuhan Institute of Virology, in late 2021. Later

refused

to answer key questions about the funding.

$20 million

for the Strengthening Transparency and Accountability through Investigative Reporting program which used the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project as its implementing partner. The OCCRP was cited four times in the

whistleblower letter

that led to the Russiagate impeachment. USAID’s

2022-2030 climate strategy

$7.9 million

to a project that would

teach

Sri Lankan journalists to avoid “binary-gendered language.”

$1.1 million

$1.5 million

to promote LGBT advocacy in Jamaica.

$1.5 million

to “rebuild” the Cuban media ecosystem.

$1.5 million

for “art for inclusion of people with disabilities.”

$2 million

to promote “LGBT equality through entrepreneurship … in developing Latin American countries.”

$2.1 million

so the BBC can strengthen the media ecosystem in Libya, “designed to value the diversity of Libyan society.”

$2.3 million

for “artisanal and small-scale gold mining” in the Amazon.

$2.5 million

to promote “inclusion” in Vietnam.

$3.9 million

to LGBT causes in the Western Balkans.

$5.5 million

to LGBT in Uganda.

$6 million

to advance LGBT in “priority countries around the world.”

$6 million

to “Transform Digital Spaces to Reflect Feminist Democratic Principles.”

$6.3 million

to men who have sex with men in South Africa.

$8.3 million

for “USAID Education: Equity and Inclusion.”

Another $16.8 million

to a separate group in Vietnam for “inclusion.”

And get this, the radicals at USAID were even bankrolling leftist leaning news outlets, including Politico. President Donald Trump pointed this out in his usual style at the National Prayer Breakfast.

Discombobulated ? That definitely explains Sen. Cory Booker’s meltdown after DOGE’s revelation of waste by USAID.

Methinks the left doth protest too much. Their unhinged reaction tells you all you need to know about the importance of USAID to leftist causes and strategies.

The Dems’ collective rage may have distracted in the past , but Trump’s return to the presidency has sparked a cultural shift. All their tantrums are doing now is further opening the public’s eyes to USAID as political influence operation of the CIA and State Department, and a massive money laundering source . Natalie Winters succinctly describes this process.

Leftists are in panic mode. Why else would Samantha Power go on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert to gaslight USAID as this benign and benevolent entity that saves lives? Check out this clip from X. You can Watch the entire interview on YouTube.

Why do leftist women always look so pissed off? But I digress.

Late Show Host Stephen Colbert has no idea what he is talking about. Defunding USAID is not unconstitutional.

Colbert is correct when he said USAID was created by President John F. Kennedy. However he left out an important detail of Kennedy creating USAID by Executive Order.

Why is this important? Executive Orders of one president can be undone by an EO of another president. Executive Orders usually last the term of the president , that Kennedy’s lasted for over 60 years means both parties benefitted from this department in one way or another.

Speaking of EO ‘s , President Trump’s rapid policy blitz is driving the left bonkers. Piece by piece, Trump is methodically dismantling the silos of Democrat influences.

Crews removing the signage from the building that housed USAID is symbolic of this process of defunding the left, removing spheres of propaganda and dismantling the Deep State.

MAGA is in full throttle and its only been three weeks since President Trump’ s inauguration. Frankly, it’s both hilarious and glorious to witness.
